Polysulphate fertilizer, one of our premium ICL FertilizerpluS products, is set to have a high profile at the next Brazilian Soil Science meeting in July this year.
Taking best care of the soil is key in making wise use of precise and balanced crop nutrition. At the Soil science event, supported by ICL Fertilizers, the attendees will hear examples of the benefits to soil health and crop productivity of using Polysulphate (made from Polyhalite) in two key crops: sugarcane and potatoes.
Interest in delivery of multiple essential nutrients over a prolonged period of time is just one of the characteristics of Polysulphate attracting grower attention. Ever since detailed research signposted the significant role of polyhalite fertilizer for Brazilian agriculture, there have been a widening range of trials with Polysulphate in different principle crops from soyabean and rice and now cane and potatoes.
The key theme for this the 37th gathering of scientists, farmers and advisors in Brazil is “Sustainable intensification of production systems”. The aim is to discuss and showcase the central role of soil management practices to ensure the sustainability of agricultural production especially in the sandy soils in the mid-west regions of the country.
