The Argus Added Value Fertilizers US event in Atlanta, is to benefit from ICL Fertilizers’ sponsorship and involvement as well as our expertise in developing specialty fertilizers for contemporary agriculture.
The three-day conference in Atlanta, which attracts more than 200 representatives from the North American fertilizer supply system, focusses on how farmers can get a better return by incorporating specialty fertilizers into their crop nutrient management strategies. Key themes for 2019 include biostimulants, minimizing negative environmental impacts and maximizing nutrient use efficiencies. FertilizerpluS, our premium collection of specialty fertilizers, is perfectly placed to provide the nutrition solutions urgently needed by farmers in the US and elsewhere in the world.
Hillel Magen, ICL Fertilizers VP of Agronomy, will present to the conference on a key issue for an increasing proportion of North American farmland: sulphur deficiency. His presentation on the second day of the Argus event – ‘Responding to sulfur deficiencies in North American soils with innovative products and solutions’ – describes the increase of sulfur deficiency in farmland and how US farmers are advised to use sulfur-containing fertilizer to boost yield. It also gives examples of how FertilizerpluS multi-nutrient fertilizers, including Polysulphate and PotashpluS, effectively redress the balance.
Fertilizer choice and use remains a key contemporary issue for farmers, both to maximize yield and ensure profitability. We welcome this opportunity in Atlanta and at other events around the world to help fertilizer decision-making by explaining the benefits and process of precise, balanced and targeted crop nutrition.
